Nike’s “House of Mamba” LED Basketball Court

Coinciding with Nike Basketball‘s summer-long “RISE” campaign is the brand new House of Mamba–a state-of-the-art basketball facility in Shanghai. Set to host 30 players representing 27 different cities–each of whom was selected last week by none other than LeBron James–for next leg of the campaign, the Kobe-centric facility is highlighted by a full-sized LED basketball court. The first of its kind, the court brings graphics, video and player-tracking to life, utilizing motion-tracking and reactive LED visualization to train, guide and challenge the RISE players through a variety of drills–all of which are based on Bryant’s own training and adapted specifically for the court.

Stay tuned for more from the “RISE” campaign and the House of Mamba as the Black Mamba himself will cut the remaining 30 players down to just 10, each of whom will compete at the RISE Final held at Wukesong Basketball Park in Beijing on August 16. The three winners from the final will then make their way to Barcelona to participate in the Nike World Basketball Festival from September 5 through September 7.
