The Brazilian firm behind Casa Itu, Studio Arthur Casas, delivers yet another stunning residence with Casa AL. Invited to help choose the location by the client, the house sits on a hillside in Rio de Janeiro, overlooking the ocean and with views of the city’s famed nearby mountains. Having chosen the site together, the firm began work on the three-storey house that is built into the slope of the hill, with the middle level acting as the central ground floor. This floor houses the main living areas, including a cinema space, and opens up to an expansive terrace and swimming pool, with glass walls that slide open fully to merge indoor and outdoor space.
