Apple Watch Scheduled fo Launch in April

With details of the much anticipated Apple Watch surfacing last fall and only a speculative date declared, Chief Executive Tim Cook publicly announced today that the device can be expected to ship to consumers this April – not March, like many had believed – during the company’s holiday quarter earnings call.

News of the release comes in the wake of a record-breaking fiscal quarter, which saw Apple sell over 74 million iPhones. One of the most significant wearable tech devices to date, the Apple Watch will be sure to assimilate to the euphoria that a long line of Apple products have helped create.

The first generation of Apple Watches will need to be tethered to an iPhone to run the majority of its various natively functioning apps, many of which are health-related and will carry a base price of $349 USD.
